Muela Colibri Hunting Knife – Stag Antler – Brass Bolster
Compact Dimensions for Precision Work
With a blade length of 70 mm (approx. 2.75 inches), this knife falls into the category of smaller hunting knives, often referred to as "Bird and Trout" knives. The blade is made of proven stainless Molybdenum-Vanadium (MoVa) steel, known for its edge retention and corrosion resistance. The Drop Point blade shape is versatile – it serves excellently for field dressing small game, but thanks to its tip, it is also great for precise cuts when caping a trophy.
Natural Beauty of Antler
The handle is made of natural stag antler. Its rugged texture not only looks beautiful but also ensures the knife does not slip in the palm. Since it is a natural material, each knife is a one-of-a-kind original with unique grain and color. The transition between the blade and the handle features an elegant brass bolster, which protects your fingers and adds a touch of luxury to the knife. The scales are attached to the tang with brass rivets, and a rear hollow rivet allows for a lanyard attachment.
The knife is supplied with a tasteful and high-quality brown leather sheath embossed with the Muela logo, which protects the knife during carry.

Practical Use
While large knives serve for rough work, this "Colibri" is the surgeon among hunting tools. Hunters often use it as a secondary knife for removing entrails from smaller game or for delicate tasks requiring a sensitive touch. However, it is not intended for chopping bones or heavy butchering; for those tasks, choose a cleaver or saw.
Knife Care
Stag antler and brass require a little love. Clean and dry the knife after use. Brass may develop a patina over time – if you prefer high shine, use metal polish. Treat the antler occasionally with oil to prevent it from drying out. Never wash the knife in a dishwasher.
Safety Warning
The knife is very sharp and requires concentration during use due to the small handle. Ensure you have a firm grip so your fingers do not slip over the bolster.
