"Zombie Dead" Karambit Pocket Knife with Spring Assist

Aggressive Design and Construction

The knife is based on the traditional shape of the Asian karambit, resembling a tiger's claw. The blade, made of 420 stainless steel, is 7 cm (approx. 2.75 inches) long and features a black coating that increases corrosion resistance and adds a tactical look to the knife. On the spine of the blade, you will find partial serrations, underscoring the ferocity of the entire design. Thanks to the spring mechanism (assisted opening), the blade can be deployed in a flash with a slight flick of a finger.

The handle is made of a light metal alloy and is decorated with a relief of a pile of skulls with piercing green eyes. The ergonomic shaping ensures the knife fits well in the hand, and the typical safety ring at the end of the handle is additionally equipped with a spike imitating a glass breaker (skull crusher). A clip is located on the back for attaching to a belt or pocket hem.

Origins of the Karambit and Modern Interpretation

Original karambits emerged in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Philippines) as agricultural tools inspired by the claws of large cats. Over time, they evolved into effective weapons in martial arts such as Pencak Silat. This specific "Zombie Dead" model is a modern pop-culture interpretation that takes the curved shape and ring grip from history but translates them into a fantasy realm intended for collectors and zombie theme fans.

Safety Warnings and Care

Although the knife has a sharp blade and looks like a combat instrument, it is classified by the manufacturer as a decorative item. The material and construction are not rated for heavy-duty use, prying, throwing, or real combat training. Such treatment risks damaging the mechanism or causing injury.

  • Maintenance: To keep the knife in perfect condition, occasionally wipe the blade with a cloth and a drop of oil, and check the tightness of the screws on the clip.
  • Safety: The knife has a sharp tip and edge. Handle it with care and keep it out of reach of children. It is not intended for contact sparring.

A display stand would be a great addition to this piece, allowing the skull motif to stand out on your shelf.
