Tactical Folding Knife "Stealth" with Matte Metal Handle

Design and Functionality in One

The 85 mm blade is made of proven 420 stainless steel. This steel is popular for its toughness and, above all, very easy sharpenability—you can restore the edge in moments, even in field conditions. The entire surface of the knife (blade and scales) features a matte finish. This has two main advantages: the knife does not cast reflections (glare), and minor scratches from use or fingerprints are less visible on the surface.

The handle is skeletonized—lightened with large circular holes. This design element not only looks great and reduces the weight of the massive steel construction, but also allows for easier cleaning of the knife (dirt doesn't get trapped inside). A thumb stud on the blade allows for safe one-handed opening, and a Liner Lock mechanism ensures your safety while working.

Matte Finish in History and Practice

Matte blade finishes (blackening, phosphating, bead-blasting) have their origins in the military sphere. The goal was to prevent reflections that could betray a soldier's position to the enemy. In the civilian sector, this style has gained popularity for its "tactical" and rugged appearance. The skeletonization of the handle is rooted in aviation and motorsport, where every gram counts. With this knife, the holes also provide you with a more secure grip—your fingers slightly "bite" into the openings, preventing the knife from slipping in your palm.

Knife Care

Although the knife is made of stainless steel, basic care will extend its lifespan:

  • Cleaning: Rinse and dry the knife after cutting food or dirty materials. Matte surfaces can be more prone to trapping moisture in micropores, so drying is important.
  • Lubrication: Occasionally apply a drop of oil to the central pivot to keep the opening action smooth.
  • Sharpening: To maintain the edge, a common whetstone, honing steel, or pocket sharpener will suffice. 420 steel does not require expensive diamond sharpeners.

Safety Warning

The Liner Lock (the spring leaf inside the handle) must audibly click and engage under the blade tang when opening. Always visually check that the blade is secured before forceful cutting. This knife does not belong in the hands of small children.

I recommend purchasing a high-quality belt pouch for this knife if you prefer not to carry it directly in your pocket.
