Egyptian Statue Khufet – Pharaoh on Throne with Horus Falcon
Protective Wings of Horus
At first glance, the golden figure of the ruler in the traditional shendyt kilt and Nemes headdress catches the eye. However, what makes this statue unique is the detail on the back of the head. It is not a parrot, as it might seem at first, but the sacred falcon—the god Horus. He wraps his wings around the Pharaoh's head, symbolising divine protection and the legitimacy of his rule. This motif is inspired by one of the most famous statues in the world—the diorite statue of Pharaoh Khafre (Chephren) from the Cairo Museum. The sides of the throne are decorated with reliefs symbolising the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt.
Material and Care
The statue is made of polyresin, a durable synthetic resin that allows for the capture of fine details, such as the hieroglyphs on the base and the stone-like texture of the throne.
- Placement: The statue is designed strictly for indoor use.
- Cleaning: Wipe only with a soft, dry cloth or duster. Do not use water or chemicals to avoid damaging the hand-painted finish.
- Handling: Although polyresin is strong, the statue (especially protruding parts like the falcon) can break if dropped on a hard surface.
