Choosing the Right Field Point: Critical for Performance

For your Excalibur Hybrid X and V-Flight Pro 18" arrows, selecting the correct point is absolutely vital. The Hybrid X is an extremely powerful machine, and using the wrong point weight could lead to flight instability or, worse, damage to the crossbow due to an underweight projectile.

1. Recommended Weight: 100 gr or 125 gr

• 100 gr: Choose this for maximum speed and a flat trajectory. Best if shooting at known, fixed distances.
• 125 gr (our recommendation): Increased weight at the tip improves F.O.C. (Front of Center). This ensures much better arrow stability at extreme speeds over 350 FPS and superior accuracy in windy conditions.

2. Technical Specifications for Points

Pro Tip: Given the massive energy generated by the Hybrid X, we recommend applying a small amount of string wax to the point threads or using points with O-rings. The vibrations are so intense that points can vibrate loose after just a few shots, which drastically affects your groupings.

⚠️ Warning: Never use points lighter than 100 gr! An underweight arrow behaves similarly to a dry-fire, which can lead to cracked limbs or a snapped string on such a powerful crossbow.
