Installation and Care Instructions
For the best results, shaft preparation is vital. After cutting your arrows to length, use the included prep stone to square the end of the shaft with a circular motion. Thoroughly clean and degrease the inside of the shaft. Mix the provided epoxy, apply it to the grooves of the insert, and use the installation tool to push it into the shaft until the tool seats against the rim. Allow the arrows to cure horizontally for at least 24 hours to ensure a uniform and permanent bond.
Warnings and Maintenance:
- Point Compatibility: These inserts are NOT compatible with standard 8-32 threaded points. You must use Deep Six specific points.
- Avoid Instant Glue: Do not use CA (super) glue. It cures too quickly for the depth tool to work effectively and lacks the impact resistance of the provided epoxy.
- Clean Surfaces: Failure to remove carbon dust from the inside of the shaft will result in a weak bond, potentially causing the insert to pull out in dense targets.
