Installation Guide and Maintenance
Proper preparation is the secret to a fail-proof HIT installation. Use the provided prep stone to square the end of your cut shafts and clean the interior of any carbon dust. Apply the epoxy to the grooved section of the insert and use the installation tool to push it to the correct depth. Always wipe away excess adhesive immediately and let the arrows cure horizontally for a full 24 hours to ensure the bond reaches maximum strength.
What to Avoid:
- Avoid Instant Glue: Do not use CA glue (super glue). The HIT system requires the "working time" of epoxy to ensure the insert is seated at the exact depth.
- Skip the Prep: If you don't clean the inside of the shaft, the insert may pull out when retrieving arrows from high-density targets.
- Improper Alignment: Never install without the depth tool; if the insert is too shallow, your points won't seat properly against the carbon.
