Safety First: Advanced Construction
Rexor goes beyond typical toy swords. It is a high-quality foam weapon built to meet the demands of LARP (Live Action Role Play). Weighing only approx. 190 g (0.4 lbs), it is perfectly balanced for smaller hands, allowing for hours of play without fatigue.
The standout feature is its internal safety mechanism:
- Core: A sturdy fibreglass rod provides the backbone of the sword.
- Kevlar Tip: The tip of the blade is reinforced with a layer of Kevlar. This crucial addition prevents the fibreglass core from pushing through the foam during spirited duels, ensuring maximum safety for everyone involved.
A Golden Hilt for Noble Warriors
The design blends historical inspiration with fantasy flair. The broad, silver blade with a central fuller resembles a Roman gladius or a Migration Period short sword. Care and Maintenance
To keep Rexor looking legendary, treat the foam regularly with silicone spray. This keeps the material flexible and prevents cracks. Although it is a soft padded weapon, advise young users to avoid striking hard surfaces like concrete, trees, or rocks to preserve the finish. Also, point out that while the Kevlar tip offers great protection, thrusting (stabbing) should always be done with caution.
