Proper Maintenance for Your Tactical Blade

Although 420 stainless steel is highly resistant and the synthetic materials used can withstand extreme abuse, basic care will keep your tool in perfect condition for the long term. After any heavy use in mud, rain, or after preparing food, wash the blade carefully and wipe it completely dry. The black coating may eventually wear off on exposed areas under extreme friction (such as when batoning logs). This is a completely natural process that grants the knife an authentic, hard-working patina. Before storing the knife in its sheath for an extended period, we advise lightly wiping the edge with a cloth moistened with gun oil. If heavily soiled, the durable synthetic sheath and the olive handle can simply be washed with lukewarm water and left to air dry.

This knife is supplied from the factory with a very sharp main edge and a functional sawback. Always remember that this is a heavy-duty working and bushcraft tool. For safety reasons, this knife is absolutely not intended for stage fencing, human-to-human martial arts training, or self-defence. While the deep texturing of the handle and the massive metal crossguard (parry element) significantly reduce the risk of injury, you must always direct the cutting or chopping motion safely away from your body and limbs. Whenever the knife is not in active use, keep it securely sheathed in the provided rigid scabbard.
