This dampener is made from high-quality, flexible rubber that effectively absorbs shock. By installing it, you gain several advantages:

• Significant Noise Reduction: The dampener absorbs a large portion of the cable vibration, which is the main source of noise when firing. Your shot will be much quieter.
• Vibration Minimization: It reduces the vibrations that are transferred to the limbs, the crossbow body, and subsequently to your hands after the shot. This makes shooting more comfortable.

The dampener has a symmetrical shape with four spherical weights on its arms and two deep grooves where the two cables of the compound system are securely seated.

• Man Kung MK-XB58BK Kraken
• Man Kung MK-XB58FC Kraken

It is designed to be installed in pairs on the crossbow's cables.

URGENT WARNING: A BOW PRESS IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY FOR THE SAFE INSTALLATION OF THIS DAMPENER! NEVER ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THIS PART YOURSELF!

To correctly and safely fit the dampener, the tension in the cables must be relaxed. This can only be done using a special bow press that safely compresses the limbs. Any other method, such as trying to pry the cables apart, is extremely dangerous and can lead to injury or damage to the crossbow. Therefore, ALWAYS entrust the installation to a professional service centre or a qualified bow technician.

Maintenance and Inspection

Rubber is a durable material, but we still recommend inspecting the dampener regularly. Check whether it shows signs of aging, cracks, or other mechanical damage. Keep it clean and protect it from contact with solvents that could degrade its structure.
