WARNING: Mounting a complete bow assembly to the crossbow stock is an advanced technical task that requires experience and the correct tools. The compound system is under constant high tension, even when not cocked.
Improper installation can lead to injury or damage to the part. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you have the installation performed by an experienced technician or an authorised service centre. If you decide to perform the installation yourself, you do so at your own risk. The process involves removing the original bow unit by loosening the central retention bolt, then mounting the new unit and tightening it securely.
Maximum Safety is a Must
The most common cause of destruction for a compound bow unit is a dry fire. NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, FIRE THE CROSSBOW WITHOUT A BOLT PROPERLY SEATED! The extreme excess energy that cannot be transferred to a bolt will cause the immediate destruction of the limbs, cams, and strings. Such damage is not covered under warranty.
Maintenance to Preserve Performance
To ensure your new bow unit lasts as long as possible and delivers peak performance, maintain it regularly:
- Waxing: Regularly apply a quality bowstring wax to the string and cables.
- Inspection: Periodically check the string and cables for any signs of fraying. Replace a worn string in a timely manner.
- Cleanliness: Keep the cams and their axles clean.
- Bolt Check: Regularly check the tightness of the main bolt that secures the bow unit to the crossbow stock.
