Man Kung Replacement Limb Tip for MK-150 & MK-200 Series Crossbows

Characteristics and Design

The limb tip is moulded from a single piece of tough and durable polymer with a glossy black finish. Its design is robust to withstand the high energy of crossbows with draw weights of 150 lbs and more. The shape of the part is both functional and specific:

  • Tip Body: It consists of a rectangular sleeve that slides tightly onto the end of the fibreglass limb.
  • "T-shaped" Head: The widened top section features deep and smooth grooves on both sides that securely guide and hold the bowstring. This shape prevents it from slipping during the cocking process and upon firing.

Broad Compatibility

This replacement limb tip (manufacturer's part number MK-150B-LIMBTIP) is primarily designed for the Man Kung MK-150B limb. This limb is used on a wide range of highly popular recurve crossbows:

  • Man Kung MK-150A1
  • Man Kung MK-150A1H
  • Man Kung MK-150A1PB
  • Man Kung MK-150A1GODC
  • Man Kung MK-150A1TC
  • Man Kung MK-150A2
  • Man Kung MK-150A3B
  • Man Kung MK-200A1

Installation Guide

The replacement process is simple but requires care and the correct procedure.

  1. IMPORTANT: Before any handling, ALWAYS unstring the crossbow! Working on a strung crossbow is extremely dangerous.
  2. Firmly grip the limb and pull off the old, damaged tip. It may be on very tightly, so you might need to use reasonable force.
  3. Clean the end of the limb to remove any dirt or debris.
  4. Slide the new tip onto the limb until it is fully seated. Ensure it fits securely and straight.
  5. Restring the crossbow and carefully check that the string is correctly seated in the grooves of both limb tips.

Safety Warning

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE RISK! A cracked or otherwise damaged limb tip can fail explosively when fired. The released energy can cause serious injury to the shooter or bystanders and permanently damage the crossbow. Regularly inspect the condition of both tips. Never dry-fire the crossbow (without a bolt), as all the energy is transferred into the crossbow's frame, leading to extreme wear and potential damage to the tips and limb.

Maintenance and Care

Keep the limb tips clean. Inspect them regularly for hairline cracks or other signs of damage, especially after a heavy shooting session or if the crossbow has been dropped or struck. Use only a damp cloth for cleaning; avoid solvents and harsh chemicals.
