When They Say "the Cat"
This black braided whip is crafted with attention to detail. The sturdy handle, approximately 23.5 cm long, provides a comfortable and secure grip, while the nine individual falls are designed to make a characteristic sound when used. An Instrument of (In)Justice
The Cat o' Nine Tails is infamous primarily as an instrument of corporal punishment in the British Royal Navy from the 17th to the 19th century. It was designed to inflict maximum pain and lacerate the skin. Each of the nine falls was often tied with knots (our model is finished with them) to increase its effectiveness. A flogging "with the cat" was brutal and feared. This whip thus became a symbol of severe, even cruel, discipline at sea, as well as in military and civilian prisons.

How to Care for Your Whip
