Paper Properties and Suitable Writing Instruments

Since these are handcrafted natural materials, please note that the colour shade and texture of both the leather and the paper may differ slightly from the product photographs. Each piece is an absolute original.

Important usage warning: It is highly recommended to write or draw on the paper using an ordinary pencil, charcoal, ballpoint pen, crayons, or oil paints. However, you should strictly avoid writing with traditional liquid ink (e.g., from a dip pen) or painting with watercolours. The paper is not designed for these wet techniques, and the colours could bleed terribly through the individual sheets.

How to Care for Your Journal

To keep the leather cover supple and looking like new for as long as possible, we recommend treating it occasionally with a high-quality leather balm containing beeswax. Never unnecessarily soak the leather and do not dry it near direct heat sources such as an open fire or radiator, otherwise, it could harden and crack. Treat the journal with the respect a handwritten book deserves.
