In the Middle Ages and early modern period, there was a strong belief in evil spirits and demons who might be jealous of the bride's happiness and try to harm her. Bridesmaids, therefore, acted as living shields and decoys. They wore dresses very similar to the bride's to confuse the evil forces. The spirits could not distinguish which maiden was the real bride, keeping her safe. With its colour and style, this dress references this ancient protective tradition.

The dress is constructed from two layers, ensuring both comfort and aesthetic appeal. The inner layer of opaque polyester guarantees discretion, while the outer layer of fine nylon features lace with a detailed floral pattern.

• Sleeves: Left unlined, allowing the translucent structure of the lace to stand out against your arms. Towards the wrist, they flare slightly into a bell shape, adding a romantic touch to the gown.
• Neckline: The round neckline is edged with distinctive silver trim (braid), mimicking period ornamentation and giving the dress a festive character.
• Back Lacing: Practical lacing is located on the back. Thanks to this, you can tighten or loosen the dress around the torso, allowing it to better adapt to your figure and create a flattering silhouette.

To keep this gem of a wardrobe looking like new for as long as possible, you should follow a few care principles. Due to the use of synthetic materials (nylon and polyester), the dress is sensitive to high temperatures.

Maintenance:

• Hand wash only in lukewarm water (max. 30 °C / 86 °F) is recommended.
• Do not use aggressive chlorine-based bleaches, as they could damage the silver neckline decoration.
• Do not tumble dry. Let the dress dry naturally on a hanger.
• If ironing is necessary, use the lowest temperature setting (synthetic) and iron through a cotton cloth to avoid damaging the lace structure.

Safety Warning:

This dress is made of synthetic fibres, which melt easily upon contact with open fire and can cause serious burns. Do not approach open flames while wearing this dress, whether it be a campfire at a LARP event, candles, or torches. Also, take care in nature around thorny bushes and sharp branches that could snag the delicate lace.
