This pocket knife comes from the factory with a razor-sharp blade and is primarily intended as a dining utensil, for food preparation, and for minor daily tasks. The knife does not have a mechanical lock (it utilises a Slipjoint mechanism); the blade is held in the open position solely by the tension of the backspring. For safety reasons, never use the knife for stabbing or heavy prying, as the blade could unexpectedly fold shut onto your fingers. This weapon is under no circumstances intended for contact historical fencing, self-defence, or man-to-man combat.

Caring for Natural Horn and Steel

The blade is forged from the proven 12C27 stainless steel (also known as Swedish Sandvik steel), which holds an edge exceptionally well and is easy to sharpen. However, to ensure your genuine ram horn handle lasts a long time, it requires specific care. After use, simply wipe the knife with a damp cloth and dry it immediately. Under no circumstances should you put the knife in a dishwasher, leave it soaking in water, or dry it in a microwave or near a radiator. Extreme temperatures and harsh chemicals would irreversibly destroy and crack the natural horn. We recommend gently rubbing the handle with linseed oil or beeswax from time to time.
