Blue Leather Grimoire "Flower of Life" with Gemstone
A Fusion of Craftsmanship and Mystic Symbolism
The cover of this journal is crafted from high-quality, vegetable-tanned buffalo leather. This material is renowned for its durability and characteristic grain, which only grows more beautiful with time. The central motif embossed on the front cover is the Flower of Life – one of the oldest symbols of sacred geometry found in cultures worldwide, from ancient Egypt to medieval Europe. It was believed that this symbol harmonises energy and represents the fundamental forms of space and time.
The centre of the mandala is set with a natural stone (typically agate, aventurine, or a similar semi-precious stone), firmly worked into a leather setting with decorative braiding. The entire design is complemented by Baroque or Renaissance-style corner ornaments, giving the book the appearance of an ancient folio.
Handmade Paper for Your Creativity
Inside, you won't find ordinary office paper. The book contains handmade parchment paper made from virgin cotton. This material is acid-free, ensuring its longevity and archival quality. With its texture and feel, it resembles a blend of jute and linen, evoking the spirit of old chronicles.
What is the paper suitable for?
- Dry media: Graphite pencil, charcoal, pastels, coloured pencils – the paper excels here and holds pigment well.
- Ballpoint pen: Usable without issues.
- Acrylic paints: Can be used; the paper is sufficiently robust.
Warning: Due to the high absorbency of the cotton material, we do not recommend using fountain pens, india ink, or watercolours. The ink may bleed or feather (blotting paper effect). If you insist on ink, we recommend testing it on the back of a page first or using gel pens.

How to care for your grimoire?
- You can occasionally treat the leather with a high-quality leather balm (e.g., with beeswax) to keep it supple and prevent cracking. However, avoid getting the balm on the paper.
- Protect the book from direct water and prolonged humidity.
- Do not expose it to direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent the blue leather dye from fading.
As this is a handmade product using natural materials, the shade of the leather, the colour of the stone, and the texture of the paper may vary slightly from the photographs. Each piece is unique.
