The Advantages of Fibreglass Arrows for Training

Compared to traditional wooden arrows, which require meticulous maintenance and straightening, fibreglass offers crucial benefits, especially for novice and intermediate archers. The arrow shaft made from this modern composite material is extremely flexible, retains its shape perfectly, and absolutely does not warp due to air humidity. The arrow is fletched with durable 3-inch (approx. 7.6 cm) plastic vanes, two of which are yellow, while the index vane is red. This vibrant and contrasting colour combination makes it easy to orient the arrow correctly when nocking it onto the bowstring and provides a great visual marker when searching for missed shots in nature.

Safe Archery and Gear Maintenance

The arrow is fitted with a rounded sheet metal target point and a sturdy plastic nock. To ensure your ammunition lasts as long as possible, it is absolutely essential to shoot only at a special, designated impact area (target boss) that reliably absorbs the kinetic energy of the flying arrow. Striking a mature tree, stone, a brick wall, or other unsuitable materials will irreversibly destroy the arrow, and there is a high risk of a dangerous ricochet. Never shoot into open space, into the air, or at people or animals. Carefully inspect the shaft and fletchings visually and by touch before every single shot. If you discover any longitudinal cracks or frayed glass fibres, discard the arrow immediately for safety reasons, as shooting a compromised arrow can cause severe hand injuries.
