Ragim Matrix Sport Recurve Bow | Takedown | 54"-58"

Modern Design with Traditional Materials

The riser (handle) is crafted from carefully selected woods such as ash, beech, oak, or maple (depending on current availability) and features a durable black lacquer that gives it a tactical and modern appearance. The limbs are laminated, combining a wood core with black fibreglass, ensuring flexibility, shot speed, and durability. The limb tips are reinforced to securely hold the string.

One of the main advantages of this model is its modularity. The bow can be easily disassembled into three parts (riser and two limbs) without complex tools, which you will appreciate when travelling. Furthermore, the riser is equipped with brass bushings, allowing you to upgrade the bow gradually. You can easily install:

  • Sight: For more accurate target shooting.
  • Stabiliser: To balance the bow and dampen vibrations after the shot.
  • Plunger button: For fine-tuning arrow flight.

Historical Context: Why Recurve?

This bow utilises a recurve profile, where the tips of the limbs curve away from the archer when unstrung. This design is not a modern invention but a historically proven technology used by Asian horse archers, Turks, and Mongols. The recurve shape allows the bow to store more energy in shorter limbs compared to a long English Longbow. This results in a faster and flatter shot trajectory, which is crucial for sport and recreational archery. The Ragim Matrix thus continues a millennial tradition of efficient mechanics, translated into modern materials.

Care and Safety Instructions

To ensure your bow serves you well for a long time, please follow these rules:

  • Never Dry Fire: Releasing the string without an arrow nocked can instantly destroy the limbs and cause injury. The energy must be transferred to the arrow, not back into the bow itself.
  • Use a Bow Stringer: Always use a bow stringer when stringing or unstringing the bow. This prevents limb twisting, which can occur with improper manual techniques.
  • Storage: Always unstring the bow when not in use. Store it in a dry place at room temperature; never leave it in a hot car or near a heater.
  • Accessories: We recommend purchasing an arm guard, a shooting glove, and an arrow rest (if not included).
