Safety and Proper Care

The knife is equipped with a sharp blade and is opened in the classic manner using a nail nick. We must warn you that this product does not have a mechanical lock; the blade is held in the open position solely by the pressure of the back spring. Therefore, when cutting, always apply pressure only in the direction of the edge; never press on the spine of the blade, as this could lead to unexpected closing and finger injuries. For safety reasons, this tool is by no means intended for contact fencing, man-to-man combat training, or any other duels.

To ensure the knife serves you as long as possible, avoid prying with the blade and chopping into hard materials. Never wash the olive wood scales in a dishwasher or soak them in water for extended periods. To preserve the beauty of the wood, we recommend occasionally rubbing the scales with linseed oil or beeswax. The joint of the knife should be lubricated from time to time with a drop of gun oil.
