Heavy-Duty Fixed Blade Knife Freereign | Demko Knives | Blue Handle
Design With a Purpose
Andrew Demko is a household name in the knife world, and the Freereign confirms his reputation. The blade is shaped with maximum versatility in mind. It resembles a spear point, but the tip is slightly offset above the centerline. The result is a significant belly on the edge for excellent slicing properties and a strong, piercing tip. The construction is Full-Tang, ensuring extreme mechanical durability.
The handle is relatively compact compared to the massive blade but ergonomically shaped to fit your hand perfectly. It is made of a durable rubberized material that absorbs shock during chopping and provides a non-slip grip even in wet or sweaty palms.
Unique Sheath for Every Situation
It is often said that a knife is only as good as its sheath. Demko Knives truly shined here. You get a patented molded plastic sheath that is fully modular. Included is a nylon loop for classic vertical belt carry. However, thanks to the clever slots, you can configure the sheath for Scout carry (horizontal carry on the back) or use most standard belt adapters available on the market. The knife is held securely but is ready for action immediately when needed.

Usage and Care
This knife is made from Japanese AUS-10A steel. This steel is known for its high hardness and edge retention while still being relatively easy to sharpen in the field. The Stonewash finish not only looks great but practically hides small scratches caused by heavy use.
- Cleaning: Clean the knife of dirt and moisture after every use. Although the steel is stainless, prolonged exposure to aggressive substances (fruit acids, salt water) can still cause issues. Rinse it with water and dry thoroughly.
- Handle Maintenance: The rubber handle requires no special care; washing with soapy water is sufficient. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat (e.g., leaving it right next to a campfire).
- Sharpening: To maintain a razor edge, we recommend using high-quality sharpening stones or diamond sharpeners.
- Warning: Although the blade spine is nearly 5 mm thick, do not use the knife as a pry bar for opening crates or heavy doors. The tip is designed for cutting and piercing; extreme prying could snap it. Caution: The knife is delivered very sharp! Exercise caution during handling to prevent injury.
