King Arthur Shield "Three Crowns" – Legend from Toledo, Marto

Shine of Stainless Steel and Royal Brass

The shield features the classic heater shield shape, which was typical for the High Middle Ages. It is handmade from high-quality stainless steel with a highly polished surface resembling a mirror. The use of stainless steel ensures long-lasting beauty without the need for demanding maintenance. The dominant feature is the central brass appliqué with a relief of three crowns, set on a textured background for better contrast. The entire perimeter of the shield and the central crest are lined with decorative gold-colored rivets, underscoring the luxurious look of this replica.

Usage and Installation

This shield is designed as an exclusive wall decoration.

  • Installation: The back of the shield is equipped with a sturdy metal chain, allowing you to hang it easily and securely on the wall in your living room, hallway, or study.
  • Notice: This is a decorative item. Although made of metal, it is not intended for fencing, battle re-enactment, or as protective gear. Strikes could irreversibly damage the brass appliqué and the polished surface.

Shield Care

Thanks to the use of stainless steel, maintenance is very easy:

  • Cleaning: Regularly remove dust from the shield with a soft, dry cloth (cotton, microfiber).
  • Shine: Unlike regular steel, there is no need to oil stainless steel against rust. If fingerprints appear on the surface, simply polish them with a clean cloth or use a special stainless steel spray.
  • Protection: Avoid any abrasive cleaning powders or steel wool, which would permanently scratch the mirror shine of the steel and the brass decoration.
