Decorative Historical Swords

Shields were also used for decorative reasons, in addition to defending against sword or mace attacks. They can also decorate your house or weekend house, just as they once used to decorate castles and chateaux. Same as today's replicas, historical shields were made of wood as well as metal and were round or rectangular. Sometimes, some less traditional materials were also used, for instance, turtle shells.
