Armoured Splendour
You will immediately be captivated by the sophistication of the armour on this statue. This is not ordinary battle gear, but so-called parade armour, richly decorated with gold floral reliefs and ornaments, typical of the nobility in the 16th century. A helmet with a visor and crest protects the head, while the body is covered by a cuirass and chainmail visible beneath the plates. The knight is armed with a flail (spiked ball on a chain), a weapon that instilled terror with its ability to bypass opponents' shields. His own shield bears a gold lion rampant – a symbol of strength, courage, and royal power.
Material and Craftsmanship
The statue is made of high-quality polyresin (synthetic resin). How to Care for This Masterpiece
Although the knight looks like he is made of steel, he requires gentler handling than real armour:
- Placement: Due to its height and weight, place the statue on a solid and stable surface (sideboard, mantelpiece, floor in a corner) where there is no risk of it tipping over.
- Cleaning: Remove dust with a duster or a dry soft cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners that could damage the hand-painting.
- Handling: Watch out for protruding parts (flail, sword at the belt). When carrying, hold the statue by the base or torso, not by the limbs or weapons.
