Its primary and essentially only purpose was the silent and rapid elimination of enemy sentries. The narrow, symmetrical stiletto-profile blade boasts immense penetrating power, whilst the heavy metal handle with deep transverse grooves ensures the weapon does not slip in the palm. The simple oval crossguard reliably protects the fingers from sliding onto the edge. Real commandos often wore this weapon sewn to their trouser leg or combat webbing, a practice made possible precisely by the leather tabs on the supplied sheath.

Safety Warnings and Practical Use

The blade of this dagger is carefully ground and is very sharp. This is an authentic military replica with a fully functional edge, which serves excellently as a realistic prop for re-enactment, military events, or as an exclusive collector's item. However, we strongly emphasise that the weapon is under no circumstances intended for contact fencing, martial arts training, or man-to-man combat. Using the knife for these purposes poses a risk of serious or even fatal injury and is strictly at your own risk.

Care for Carbon Steel and the Leather Sheath

The blade is made from classic high-carbon steel, which holds its edge excellently and is historically accurate, but it is not rust-resistant. For the dagger to serve you for many years in perfect condition, it is necessary to wipe off fingerprints after every handling and to treat both the blade and the handle with a thin layer of gun oil or preservative oil. The included sheath is made of tough leather and is protected at the tip with a metal chape to prevent the sharp point from piercing through. We recommend treating the leather at least twice a year with a quality beeswax-based balm so that it retains its flexibility and does not crack.
