Robust EDC Folding Pocket Knife with Padauk Wood and Lockback
History and Evolution of Folding Knives
Pocket knives featuring a spine lock (commonly known as a Lockback) boast a rich history that truly blossomed in the 20th century. This mechanism brought an absolute revolution to the safety of folding knives, allowing warriors, hunters, and workers to perform heavy-duty tasks without the fear of the blade snapping shut on their fingers. Our model pushes this proven historical concept further thanks to modern ergonomics and the use of African padauk wood. The clip-point style blade, complete with a pronounced fuller (blood groove), pays homage to traditional Bowie hunting knives, yet it is presented in a practical, compact urban package.
Construction and Practical Application
At the heart of this uncompromising tool is a 90 mm (approx. 3.54 inches) blade crafted from proven 440 stainless steel, which excels among users for its great edge retention and outstanding corrosion resistance. The massive lockback mechanism reliably secures the blade in the open position. The handle is equipped with deep anatomical finger grooves, guaranteeing an absolutely firm and secure grip even with wet hands. At the very end of the handle, there is a steel-reinforced lanyard hole for attaching a securing cord. A massive advantage of this product is the included sturdy nylon sheath, cleverly designed to allow you to carry the knife on your belt both vertically and horizontally (cross-draw).

Knife Care and Safety Guidelines
Padauk wood is a gorgeous natural material with a striking grain. To ensure the handle scales retain their rich colour and do not begin to crack, we highly recommend occasionally rubbing them lightly with linseed oil or beeswax. Under no circumstances does this knife belong in a dishwasher! Always wipe the blade with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly after use. Keep the pivot joint and locking mechanism free of pocket lint, and occasionally lubricate them with a drop of high-quality gun oil to maintain a smooth and quiet operation.
Please remember that the factory edge is exceptionally sharp. When closing the knife, depress the lock bar on the spine of the handle and carefully fold the blade down with your other hand. Always ensure your fingers are entirely clear of the blade's path! This tool is designed for standard cutting tasks. For safety reasons, do not use it for prying, chopping hard materials (metal, stone), or any form of contact fencing or martial arts training.
To complement this elegant folding knife, we highly recommend purchasing a quality pocket sharpener for easy edge maintenance on the go, as well as a sturdy paracord lanyard to weave a practical pull-tab for the handle.
