The blade is further weight-relieved with longitudinal cutouts and features prominent jimping on the spine to provide a secure thumb rest during heavy-duty cutting. The handle consists of a combination of light metal alloy and G10 scales. This high-pressure laminate is practically indestructible; it is unaffected by moisture or extreme temperature fluctuations, and thanks to its textured surface, it provides excellent traction even when wearing wet gloves. The handle is finished with a practical lanyard hole for a paracord safety line.

Safety and Everyday Carry (EDC)

Caring for D2 Tool Steel

D2 steel is often referred to in metallurgy as semi-stainless. While it contains a high percentage of chromium, it falls just short of the threshold for true stainless steels. Therefore, we recommend giving the knife some basic maintenance. Under no circumstances should you wash the knife in a dishwasher. After use, especially if it has come into contact with moisture, sweat, or corrosive substances, wipe the blade dry with a soft cloth. An occasional light coating of the blade with high-quality knife oil (or gun oil) will ensure that the steel remains in perfect condition for years to come. The ball bearings in the pivot joint will also appreciate an occasional drop of lubricant to maintain their flawless action.
