The main feature of this diary is undoubtedly its cover. **Aluminum chainmail** is carefully stitched onto genuine leather. Why aluminum? Because it looks great just like steel, but it is significantly lighter. The journal won't weigh you down like a brick in your bag or on your belt. The edges of the journal are decoratively stitched with a leather thong, highlighting its rustic appearance. The entire book can be secured shut with a long leather strap that you simply wrap around the cover.

Paper with a Historic Soul

Inside, you won't find ordinary office paper. The block contains approximately **120 sheets of hand-made paper**. This paper has a coarser texture, a yellowish tint, and deckle edges, exactly as you would expect from old chronicles or grimoires. Writing on it with a quill, dip pen, or soft pencil is an experience in itself.

Usage and Care

This notebook is ideal as a prop for LARP, film, or theater, but serves equally well as an original personal diary. * **Writing:** Due to the coarser texture of the paper, we recommend using pencils (softness B and higher), ballpoint pens, or gel pens. If you want to write with ink, test it on the back of a page first to see how much the paper absorbs. * **Maintenance:** The aluminum rings do not rust, but they may oxidize over time. Simply wipe them with a dry cloth. Treat the leather occasionally with leather balm to keep it supple and prevent cracking. * **Warning:** Although the diary has "armor," the rings are made of soft aluminum and are butted (not riveted). Avoid applying heavy pressure or throwing the diary, as the rings could pull apart.
