Although the mechanism is functional, avoid "fanning" (rapidly cocking the hammer with the palm of your other hand, as seen in movies). The alloy material is not designed for such rough handling over the long term, and the mechanics could be damaged. Wipe the metal parts occasionally with a cloth and a little oil to protect them from moisture. Never drop the weapon on hard surfaces.
Please keep in mind that this is a non-firing model. The barrel is blocked, and the weapon cannot be modified to fire live ammunition. It serves exclusively for decoration and collecting purposes.
