Leather combat gauntlet with metal fittings on the cuff, Sale
The combat gauntlet with a vambrace was modelled on the specimen from the period of crusades to Palestine. The Leather combat gauntlet with metal fittings on the cuff is formed of the front part that protects fingers against sword hacks. The finger protecting part is circa 1 cm thick. The edges of the guard are lined with a leather lining that provide perfect flushing of the edge. The rear part of the gauntlets is made of 3 mm thick smooth cowhide. It serves to protect the forearm. Iron forged plates preventing the sword hacking through the guard and other injuries to the forearm are attached to the vambrace with copper rivets. The vambrace is fixed with leather strip.
