How to use the Qibla compass correctly

The Qibla is the direction Muslims face during the five daily obligatory prayers (salat). Originally, prayer was directed towards Jerusalem, but following a revelation to the Prophet Muhammad, the direction was changed to the al-Masjid al-Haram mosque in Mecca, where the Kaaba stands.
