Ninja Motif Decorative Scroll / Scarf - Shadow Warrior

The Art of Shadows in Your Home

This scarf is not just a piece of fabric; it is a window into history. The motif is executed in black and white, reminiscent of traditional ink drawings or comic book style. The Ninja figure is dressed in the typical shinobi shozoku garb, covering the face and blending with the shadows. This accessory will be appreciated by any fan of martial arts, history, or Japanese culture.

Historical Insight: Who Were the Ninjas?

Ninjas (originally Shinobi in Japanese) were specially trained scouts, spies, and mercenaries of feudal Japan. The first reports of them date back to the 6th century, during the reign of Empress Suiko. Their art, called Ninjutsu (originally Shinobijutsu), included not only armed and unarmed combat but also techniques of silent movement, camouflage, making poisons and explosives, and even arts like dance or singing for espionage purposes.

Interestingly, legends about flying ninjas may have a real basis in the use of primitive gliders similar to modern hang gliders. Their weapons were purely utilitarian, often multifunctional (one weapon could have up to 5 functions), and unlike samurai swords, beauty was disregarded in favour of deadly efficiency.

Care Instructions

To keep the print sharp for as long as possible, I recommend gentle handling:

  • Washing: Ideally hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle at a low temperature (max. 30 °C).
  • Drying: Let the scarf air dry; do not put it in a tumble dryer.
  • Ironing: If you iron the scarf, use a low temperature and preferably iron on the reverse side.
