The Mother Goddess in Detail

Despite its miniature height (approx. 6 cm), the statue is rich in detail. It is made of polyresin, a durable synthetic resin that perfectly mimics the look of expensive materials and captures fine features. The surface is hand-painted in a combination of gold and bronze colours, with details such as the collar, headdress, and hieroglyphs on the throne highlighted in coloured enamel. Isis is depicted here in a seated position, wearing the traditional headdress symbolising the sun disk between cow horns (an attribute adopted from the goddess Hathor), emphasising her maternal and protective role.

Historical Insight: Mistress of Magic

Isis (Egyptian Aset) was worshipped as the ideal wife and mother, the patroness of nature and magic. She was the sister and wife of the god Osiris and the mother of Horus. Her cult was so strong that it spread from Egypt throughout the Greco-Roman world and persisted until the rise of Christianity. She was called "Great of Magic" (*Weret-Hekau*) because she was the only one who knew the secret name of the sun god Ra. People prayed to her for the healing of the sick and the protection of children. Having her statue at home was believed by ancient Egyptians to attract luck and marital fidelity.

• Placement: The statue is designed strictly for indoor use. Do not expose it to prolonged direct sunlight to prevent colour fading.
• Cleaning: Remove dust only with a soft duster or a dry cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
• Handling: Polyresin is hard but brittle. If dropped on a hard surface (like tiles), the statue could shatter.
