You do not need to aim with pinpoint accuracy at the aggressor's eyes – simply point generally in the direction of the attack to create an impenetrable chemical barrier in front of you. Contact of the highly concentrated capsaicin with the eyes and respiratory tract causes immediate blindness, disorientation, and choking coughs.

The design of the plastic actuator head is tailored for emergency use. The trigger is cleverly recessed within a protective collar, which minimises the risk of accidental discharge in your pocket while requiring no flipping of a safety cover when an immediate reaction is necessary. Beware of the wind! Because the spray creates a light aerosol fog, never use it against a strong headwind to avoid contaminating yourself. Likewise, avoid using it in small and enclosed spaces (elevators, cars), where it would lead to the immediate contamination of the entire area.

Deployment and First Aid Guidelines

This defensive spray is primarily certified for defence against attacking animals. If accidental exposure occurs (e.g., due to a headwind), gently rinse the affected eyes with a mild stream of cold water for several minutes (carefully remove contact lenses if present). Wash affected skin with water and soap, but never scrub or rub the skin, as this would force the active ingredient deeper into the pores. Immediately move the affected person to fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention immediately.

Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Protect from direct sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 °C (122 °F). IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do.
