The cover of this journal is made from genuine leather, which is robust and durable. The smooth, waxed finish not only looks great but also provides basic protection. The main motif is the embossing of the compass rose (or wind rose), which lends the journal a touch of nautical romance and travel.

A striking design element is the diagonal strap with a natural "torn" edge, revealing the lighter underside of the leather. This strap is firmly riveted with two decorative metal studs in an antiqued-brass finish. The spine of the journal reveals a visible cross-stitch binding, executed with a contrasting (reddish-brown) thread, underscoring its rustic and handmade character.

How to Care for Your Journal

This leather journal is made from natural materials and therefore deserves proper care. Thanks to its waxed finish, it already has basic protection against moisture. Nevertheless, protect it from rain and excessive dampness. If it does get wet, let it dry slowly at room temperature (never on a radiator!). To keep the leather supple, you can treat it from time to time with a special leather conditioner, ideally one based on beeswax. With a little care, this notebook will last you for many years and develop a unique patina.
