A Union of Two Worlds: Aztecs and Pirates
This coin masterfully captures the story of clashing civilizations and the lust for wealth. Its double-sided design is rich with symbolism and historical references.
- Obverse (front side): This side depicts the legendary Aztec Calendar, also known as the Sun Stone. Its incredibly detailed and complex design represents the cosmology and mythology of one of the most powerful civilizations of the New World. It is a symbol of ancient knowledge and untold riches.
- Reverse (back side): The other side of the coin belongs to the conquerors. It shows a majestic pirate galleon sailing under the Jolly Roger flag. This motif symbolizes the European seafarers, corsairs, and pirates who crossed the ocean in search of gold and glory. The edge of the coin is decorated with a twisted rope motif.
