The lightweight silver coins are struck from durable aluminium. Their theme is the glorious age of discovery and piracy. On the obverse, you'll find a majestic pirate sailing ship, a vessel navigating the stormy waves of the ocean. The reverse depicts the indispensable compass rose, which showed every sailor the right direction on their quest for loot and adventure.
Aztec Gold and Pirate Doubloons
Although these coins are fantastical, their motifs are deeply rooted in history. The Aztec Calendar, also known as the Sun Stone, is one of the most famous symbols of Mesoamerican culture. Legends of the immense wealth and golden treasures of the Aztecs, seized by Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century, fired the imagination of Europe and became a major driver of piracy in the Caribbean. Real pirates like Francis Drake or Blackbeard most often hunted Spanish galleons transporting plundered treasures, primarily silver Spanish dollars (pieces of eight) and gold doubloons, which became synonymous with pirate treasure.

To keep your coins shiny for as long as possible, store them in a dry place. Brass may develop a natural patina over time, which adds to their authenticity. If you wish to clean them, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals that could damage their surface. Warning: The coins are not suitable for children under 3 years due to the choking hazard of small parts.
