RAGIM Impala Replacement Recurve Bow Limbs, Black, 60"-62"
Appearance and Construction
The limbs feature a classic recurve shape, which ensures efficient energy transfer and high arrow velocity. The surface has an elegant matt black finish. The base of the limbs, which attaches to the riser, is made of light-coloured wood, creating a subtle visual contrast. The overall construction is based on a proven wood core, which is coated on both sides with durable black fibreglass laminate for maximum flexibility and longevity. The limb tips are reinforced and feature deep string grooves for a secure fit of the bowstring.
Which Bows Are The Limbs For?
These limbs are fully compatible with the following RAGIM bow models:
- Impala Riser
- Impala Deluxe Riser
Installation is very straightforward thanks to the reliable screw-in system. Simply place the limbs into the limb pockets on the riser and secure them firmly with the provided bolts. Combining these limbs with the appropriate riser creates a complete take-down bow.
Function and Choosing the Right Variant
The bow limbs are the key components that store and then release the energy needed to shoot an arrow. The draw weight, measured in pounds (lbs), determines the amount of force you need to exert to fully draw the bow. The limb length affects the total bow length (from 58" to 64") and the smoothness of the draw.
Available Variants:
- For a 58" bow length: 35-45,60 lbs draw weight
- For a 60" bow length: 20-60 lbs draw weight
- For a 62" bow length: 20-60 lbs draw weight
- For a 64" bow length: 20-50 lbs draw weight
Consider your physical condition when making your selection. A lower draw weight (20-30 lbs) is recommended for beginners to master the proper technique.
Safety First
Archery requires responsibility and adherence to safety rules. Remember the following principles:
- Never dry-fire the bow! Firing without a nocked arrow (a "dry fire") can permanently damage or even break the limbs, posing a risk of serious injury.
- Before each use, visually inspect the limbs for any signs of damage (cracks, delamination).
- Always use a bow stringer to string and unstring the bow. This prevents dangerous twisting of the limbs.
- Ensure the limb bolts are always securely tightened.
- Always shoot in a safe location with adequate space and a suitable backstop (target butt, safety netting).
Care and Maintenance
To ensure your limbs serve you well for a long time, give them some basic care:
- Always unstring the bow after shooting. Leaving it strung puts constant strain on the limbs.
- Store the limbs in a dry place at room temperature. Do not expose them to extreme heat, cold, or direct sunlight.
- Keep them clean. Wipe away dirt with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
- Regularly check the condition of your bowstring and wax it when necessary.
