The Foundation for Your Screw-in Points
This set contains 10 precision-lathed aluminium inserts, designed for perfect functionality and easy installation.
- Material: Made from a lightweight yet strong aluminium alloy to avoid unnecessarily increasing the arrow's weight.
- Standard Internal Thread: The inside of the insert is threaded to be fully compatible with all common screw-in points (field points, broadheads, etc.).
- External Knurling: The outer surface has fine grooves (knurling) to ensure maximum surface area and mechanical adhesion for the glue.
- Precision Collar: The top edge of the insert forms a small collar, which ensures the insert stops perfectly flush with the edge of the arrow shaft, creating a seamless transition.
Compatibility and Installation
These replacement inserts (manufacturer's part number MK-CA30-I-10PCS) are specifically designed for:
- Man Kung 30-inch carbon arrow (7.5 mm outer diameter)
Installation requires precision and special adhesive
Gluing an insert is straightforward but requires care. For the best result, follow these steps:
- Thoroughly clean the inside of the arrow shaft, ideally with a special brush and a degreaser (e.g., isopropyl alcohol).
- Apply a thin layer of special insert adhesive (we recommend hot melt glue or a two-part epoxy) to the outside of the insert.
- With a twisting motion, insert the insert into the shaft until its collar touches the edge of the shaft.
- Quickly wipe away any excess glue and let the arrow cure in a vertical position (point down) according to the adhesive's instructions.
IMPORTANT: To ensure a strong and safe bond, it is essential to use a special archery adhesive. Standard superglues are not flexible enough and can crack upon the arrow's impact!
Safety and Usage Tips
A properly glued insert is crucial for shooting safety and accuracy. A loose insert can lead to the loss of the point or unpredictable arrow flight. When gluing, make sure the insert is pushed in perfectly straight. A crooked insert will result in inaccurate shots.
