Éowyn, niece of King Théoden and sister of Éomer, was a proud shieldmaiden of Rohan. When the Rohan army set out for Gondor to face Mordor in battle, she begged her uncle, King Théoden, to let her go with them. When he refused, she disguised herself as a warrior and joined the army under the name of Dernhelm. In the Pelennor-Fields she faced the Witch King of Angmar after he had mortally wounded Théoden. United Cutlery, industry leader in fine movie reproductions, has meticulously recreated the actual prop sword using only the finest grade materials and craftmanship. Close attention to detail was a top priority.
This beautiful nearly one metre long sword is artfully designed from tip to hilt. The hardened blade, which measures approx. 76.5 cm in length, is made from 420 J2 stainless steel. A wide fuller runs along three quarters of the blade to reduce weight, yet still retain critical blade strength. The handle features a solid metal guard and pommel with antiqued brass plated finish, the hilts are cast in the symbols of the famed horses of Rohan and the grip is genuine leather wrapped.
Delivery includes a wall display plaque made of wood (with silkscreened design) and a certificate of authenticity.
