The main flap is securely fastened by a massive plastic quick-release buckle (Fastex). You can easily adjust the length of the closure strap to precisely suit the length of your knife. The nylon itself requires almost no special care. If it gets heavily soiled with mud, simply brush it in lukewarm soapy water and let it air dry naturally, away from direct heat sources.
Crucial Safety Warning
Always bear in mind that this pouch is designed exclusively for carrying folding knives in their fully closed position or for carrying standard multi-tools. Under no circumstances should you attempt to insert fixed-blade knives or opened folding knives into the pouch. A sharp blade would very quickly slice through the textile material, irreversibly destroy the pouch, and cause you a very serious cutting injury when moving or hastily reaching for the weapon.
