The statue is made of high-quality polyresin and hand-painted with an emphasis on realism.

• The Rider: A knight in full chainmail and a Great Helm with a gold cross raises his sword to strike. On his left arm, he bears a shield with a white cross on a red field.
• The Horse: The faithful steed rears up on its hind legs, ready to charge forward. It is protected by a red caparison (cloth covering) that matches the rider's attire and bears the same heraldic symbols.
• The Base: The sculpture is mounted on a sturdy base imitating rocky terrain, ensuring the stability of the figure.

Historical Insight: Hospitallers in Battle

The red colour with a white cross is historically associated with the Order of Hospitallers (Knights of St. John) in the later period of the Crusades. In 1248, Pope Innocent IV allowed them to wear red battle surcoats instead of black monastic mantles to distinguish themselves from other orders and be more visible in the heat of battle. This statue thus perfectly illustrates the transformation of the order from caregivers to elite heavy cavalry.
