Three Stances, Six Brothers in Arms
The set contains a total of 6 figurines. It is a mix of three different stances (usually 2 pieces of each type). The figurines are made of polyresin and hand-painted.
- Guardian with Sword: A knight in a calm, contemplative stance, with hands clasped on the hilt of a sword resting on the ground. He appears as a silent and vigilant protector.
- Spearman: An upright warrior holding a long spear in his right hand and leaning on a heater shield with a white cross with his left. His helmet is decorated with gold trim.
- Commander on Patrol: A knight with his hand on the hilt of a drawn sword at his waist, ready for immediate defence. He holds his shield firmly with the other hand.
Historical and Collecting Use
Black clothing with a white cross is the classic sign of the Knights Hospitaller (Order of Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem). This colour combination symbolized the humility of monks and, at the same time, the determination of warriors. Thanks to the larger scale (approx. 10.5 cm), the figurines are ideal as standalone decorations or as dominant elements in dioramas.
Caring for the Figurines
The figurines are precisely crafted but require gentle handling:
- Material: Polyresin is hard once hardened, but brittle. Pay special attention to protruding parts like spears and swords. They could break if dropped on a tiled floor.
- Cleaning: Remove dust with a fine dry brush. Do not use water or chemical cleaners to avoid damaging the hand painting and patina.
