Set of 6 White Crusader Figurines – Templar Guard 10.5 cm
Three Stances, Six Guardians
The set contains a total of 6 figurines. Based on the photos, it is a mix of three different stances (usually 2 pieces of each type). The figurines are made of polyresin and hand-painted with an emphasis on the structure of the chainmail and fabric folds.
- Guardian with Sword: A knight in a calm, contemplative stance, with hands clasped on the hilt of a sword resting on the ground. He appears as a silent protector.
- Spearman: An upright warrior holding a long spear in his right hand and leaning on a heater shield with a red cross with his left. His helmet features a distinct nasal guard.
- Commander on Patrol: A knight with his hand on the hilt of a sheathed sword at his waist, ready to strike at any moment. He holds his shield with the other hand.
Historical and Collecting Use
The white mantle with the red cross is the iconic sign of the Knights Templar. The red cross was granted to them by the Pope in 1147 as a symbol of their willingness to shed blood for the faith. These figurines have realistic proportions and, thanks to their height (approx. 10.5 cm), stand out where small miniatures would be lost. In tabletop games (D&D), they can serve as statues in temples, giants, or as main "bosses".
Caring for the Figurines
Due to the detailed craftsmanship and material, please observe the following:
- Material: Polyresin is strong once hardened, but thin parts like spears or swords are fragile. There is a risk of breakage if dropped on a hard floor.
- Cleaning: Remove dust with a fine brush. Do not use water or chemical cleaners to avoid damaging the hand painting.
