Natural light leather is more prone to showing dirt and drying out, making regular conditioning essential. The product is treated with a high-quality beeswax leather balm during the manufacturing process. After each use, wipe away dust and mud with a damp cloth and allow the footwear to dry naturally at room temperature. Follow up by gently rubbing a clear leather balm or pure natural oil into the material. Balm feeds the leather deeply and provides water resistance; however, please note that applying greases will permanently darken light leather slightly, giving it a richer honey tone. To preserve the original very light shade, high-quality clear waterproofing sprays can be used instead of heavy conditioning balms.

Safety Warnings and Modern Use

Although the sole features a thin rubber layer for traction, exercise caution when walking on wet polished stone, modern tiles, or smooth wood. Always tie and secure the long lacing thongs properly to ensure they do not come undone and cause a tripping hazard. Never force-dry soaked footwear in the immediate vicinity of open flames, fireplaces, radiators, or in direct sunlight. Rapid and intense heat strips essential moisture, causing the natural leather to permanently shrink, stiffen, and crack.
