Small Bust of Pharaoh Tutankhamun – Egyptian Souvenir 10 cm

Detailed Design in a Compact Size

Despite its smaller size, this bust is hand-painted and full of detail. It is made of durable polyresin (synthetic resin), which faithfully mimics the texture and weight of more expensive materials. The statuette depicts the Pharaoh in his iconic death mask with the Nemes headdress (royal headcloth), decorated with gold and blue stripes. The forehead features the protective symbols of the Uraeus (cobra and vulture), and the chin bears the typical ceremonial false beard. The back and sides of the base are adorned with relief work resembling ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, adding authenticity to the piece.

This item is intended primarily as an indoor decoration. It is not suitable for outdoor use, where weather conditions could degrade the finish.

A Glimpse into History: The Most Famous Ruler?

Tutankhamun is a paradox of Egyptian history. Although he represents the symbol of all ancient Egypt to the modern world, he was a relatively insignificant ruler in his own time. He reigned during the 18th Dynasty (approx. 1333–1323 BC) and died very young. His fame began only in 1922, when British archaeologist Howard Carter discovered his tomb (KV62) in the Valley of the Kings. Unlike others, it was nearly intact and revealed unimaginable wealth to the world, including the famous gold mask that served as the model for this bust.

Care Instructions

To ensure this little Pharaoh brings you joy for as long as possible, follow these guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Remove dust with a soft brush or a dry cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners, as they could damage the hand-painted surface.
  • Placement: The statuette is designed for indoor use. Do not expose it to direct sunlight (UV radiation can cause colours to fade) and protect it from falling onto hard surfaces. Polyresin is strong but brittle.

If you wish to create a comprehensive Egyptian collection, we recommend complementing this bust with other statues of Egyptian gods from our range, such as Anubis or Bastet.
