A Weapon with Millennial Tradition

The sling has accompanied humanity since the Neolithic era. This specific model is based on the tradition of the famous Balearic slingers (Els Foners Balears). In ancient times and the early Middle Ages, they were considered the most elite mercenaries in the Mediterranean. Ancient authors recorded that each warrior carried three slings: one wrapped around the head for long-range shots, one at the waist for mid-range accuracy, and one held in-hand for rapid, close-quarters strikes. This model's length makes it suitable for versatile use.

How It Works and How to Use It

The sling utilizes the physics of a double pendulum to achieve far greater range and impact force than you could achieve by throwing by hand alone. The cradle pouch is designed to securely hold a stone, lead bullet, or clay projectile.

• Grip: Place the loop at one end over your middle finger (or wrist). Firmly grasp the knot at the other end between your thumb and index finger.
• Load: Place the projectile into the leather cradle.
• Spin and Release: Spin the sling (over your head or by your side) and release the held knot at the precise moment it aligns with your target. Inertia will launch the projectile forward.

Safety and Care Instructions

Warning: This is a real weapon. Never aim at people, animals, or property. For practice, we strongly recommend using soft projectiles like tennis balls or fabric balls. Only practice in wide, open areas.

Since the sling is made of natural leather, store it in a dry environment. Occasionally apply a leather conditioner to maintain flexibility and prevent cracking.
