Love Beyond the Grave Goblet – Eternal Romance

The Skeleton Dance in Detail

The goblet is made of high-quality polyresin, allowing for detailed sculptural craftsmanship. Skeletal fingers wrap around the cup, forming a protective cradle for the main motif. This features a relief of a lover's couple after death: a skeletal groom in an elegant top hat looks lovingly into the eye sockets of his bride, who wears a blood-red rose in her hair. The background is decorated with delicate Victorian ornaments on a black base. The stem of the goblet is stylized in the form of a human bone (femur), underscoring the macabre aesthetic of the entire piece.

The interior of the cup consists of a stainless steel insert. Unlike some other models, the insert in this goblet is firmly glued and cannot be removed. This ensures a sturdy construction but requires a specific approach to maintenance.

Symbolism: Till Death Do Us Part... And Beyond

This goblet smiles at the traditional wedding vow "till death do us part." It depicts a love that endures even after the end of physical life. It is a powerful symbol for all who believe in soulmates and destined meetings. The motif also recalls the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), where death is perceived as a natural part of life and love.

Important Care Instructions

This goblet is a work of art, not ordinary kitchenware. To keep it looking beautiful, please follow these rules:

  • Washing: Since the stainless steel insert is not removable, wash the inside of the goblet carefully with lukewarm water and detergent, taking care not to soak the outer resin part. Wipe the outer decorated part only with a damp cloth.
  • No Dishwasher: Never put the goblet in the dishwasher. Hot water and aggressive chemicals would destroy the hand painting and could damage the structure of the polyresin.
  • Temperature: The goblet is suitable for cold and lukewarm drinks. Boiling drinks could damage the bond between the metal and the resin.
