The German Stahlhelm M42 replaced the models M35 and M40 since mid of 1942.The main difference from its predecessors was a not longer beaded, but outward strechted edge and unrebated air holes, which, for example, were riveted on the M35.This offered reproduction is the last model type before the end of WWII. The inlay is, like the chin strap, of leather.
