This cuirass is constructed with a focus on detail and durability. The front fastens with four robust leather straps featuring antique brass buckles, making it easy to put on while adding a striking aesthetic. A key feature is the adjustable side lacing. Leather Armor Care
This cuirass is made from a natural material that requires some care to last for years:
- Cleaning: Never machine wash! Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth.
- Conditioning: Regularly apply leather balm or beeswax. This keeps the leather supple, prevents cracking, and improves water resistance.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, ideally on a hanger or laid flat. Do not leave the armor folded for long periods.
- Warning: Although the leather is thick, this is costume armor (LARP/Cosplay category). It is not intended as protective gear for full-contact combat with steel weapons.
